My name is Alexandre Baker. I am currently a senior student at Wesleyan University majoring in History and minoring in Global Engagement. I grew up in Paris, France, but I lived from the age of two to five years old in Mexico City. Since I was born, I have lived and spent all my summers in Chilmark, Massachusetts. Nowadays, I live most of the year in Middletown, Connecticut and the rest the year between Chilmark and Paris.
My Global Engagement Minor has allowed me to have a more critically informed approach to globalization and has helped me to further cultivate my understanding and relating to the experiences of others. As part of this Minor, I am able to work with small groups of people which has truly reinforced by teamwork and my intercultural understanding and learning skills.
